Georgette Hadvina was born in 1939 in the city of Petrozseny, Hungary, which at the time was a Province of Transylvania, Romania. She grew up in Budapest, Hungary and immigrated to America with her family in 1957. She finished high school in Detroit, Michigan and went on to college, majoring in Fine Art and Interior Design. She fell in love with a young immigrant engineer student, who later became her husband. They soon relocated to Los Angeles, California to have their children.
Georgette got her Real Estate Broker’s License, and for the next twenty years worked on acquisitions and disposition of commercial properties. In 1994, she decided it was time to follow her passion of a more creative life and got a job as an Interior Designer. At the age of 62, she went one step further and opened up her own home furnishing shop, spending the next twelve years running a successful American business. She now works in Interior Design part-time and writes in her spare time. Now widowed after forty-five years of marriage, she lives in Southern California with her children and their families close by, celebrating her American Success Story.
